Two semester cohorts equal one complete year of high school English! Join us this fall and plan to join us again in the winter/spring. 

These class cohorts include:

• Comprehensive Curriculum
  

  Each year, students read diverse genres and engage in narrative, persuasive, literary analysis, and informational writing. We prioritize student choice in what they read and topics they write about.
  
  

• Literary Analysis
  

  Teens move beyond basic comprehension to deconstruct complex texts. They evaluate theme, subtext, and the historical contexts that shape great literature.
  
  

• Rhetorical Imagination
  

  Enrolled students encounter, examine, and hold multiple viewpoints simultaneously. They synthesize original ideas with the perspectives of others using critical thinking tools.
  
  

• Coaching from Professional Writers
  

  Participants experience personalized, high-level feedback from trained writing coaches, focused on helping the writer grow. Grades and transcripts available upon request.
  
  

• Media and Visual Literacy
  

  Teens expand the definition of "text" to include film and digital media and consider bias, manipulation, and the effect of AI-generated content across a range of media.
